Perimeter, Area and Volume

Kia Ora.  This is my week's blog posts on perimeter, area and volume.

WALT: how to measure and calculate perimeter, area and volume.

So to measure perimeter you have to add up each on every side of your area that your working with. All even sides it is easier than measuring the length of uneven sides for a perimeter.      

How to Measure area.
To measure Area you have to get the top length and times it by either of the sides that gives you the area here is a example. lets say the shapes area is measured by m you would write 6m2 because you are measuring 2D shapes.
 

Measuring volume.
is probably the hardest you have to predict how many squares / any shape to fill the shape.                                                                            Here is a slide of all my maths questions for Area perimeter and volume.

Prep 2018

KIA ORA this is Arli from greymain school this term we have prep prep is when you apply for a school job and have your own business and make your own product but you have to write a letter to apply for your job and send it to the principle there are lots of stuff that you can apply for like help little kids be a banker be the warehouse worker that's when you have to give them their materials and be a police which you give people awards for being good workers here is my profile and letter.

Term 2 WEEK 4/5 Literacy reflection Arli

KIA Ora this is what we have have been doing for the week we are doing work on the only Ivan book its about a Gorilla who is been held captive for years.


This is are poem and our 2 statements to see what we think the book is going to be about because we haven't actually read the book.

This is our drawing of Ivan the gorillas home our teacher read some of the book that chapter was about his home so we had to draw a picture using the describing words from the author

Nikau palm tree

This week We have Learnt lots About nikau palm trees we had to draw a nikau palm and write a description about them to here is one of my sentences.

The flowers. The flowers of the nikau palm tree are lots of little caramel purple or even red flowers to but they dont look like flowers they look like coral with little berries on them.The are located Coming out the top the tree trunk below the sprouting leaves above.
