Last week we had a day called pink shirt day which everybody wore a pink shirt to prevent bullying.
Some of us also made biscuits shaped into love hearts and with pink icing on top. They were $1 for a big one and 50.c for a small one. These were to raise money for the mental health organisation.
I think it is important that as a school, we are bully free!

Hanmer Springs Camp 2019
Hanmer Springs Camp 2019
Hanmer Springs Camp was a really cool fun camp anyone reading this should definitely consider going to Hanmer . On the first day we did Orienteering in one of Hanmer Springs beautiful forests. It was pretty cool running around using directions to find clues and stuff which would add up to points. My team came 3rd I think. On the 2nd day we did tree climbing and mountain biking. We climbed 2 trees. One was a blue gum tree that was pretty short and the pine tree was massive. I made it up all the trees and on each tree there was 2 ways to go up and I did all of them. When you got up to the top of the pine it was a beautiful view of the whole camp. Then we went mountain biking which was my favourite activity. I loved biking through the beautiful forest and there were sharp corners lots of tree stumps to ride up and get air there also was ramp near a pump track. I cleared probably half of it. The pump track was pretty cool to ride to build up more skill and confidence for riding and be more experienced. Then on the last day we went up Conical Hill which at the top was a very stunning view of Hanmer Springs. Then we walked back down to the lolly shop at the bottom which was nice cause we got heaps of yum lollies. So if you're ever driving near Hanmer pay for a visit cause I really enjoyed it :) Definitely my favourite camp so far.

T2 W3 my Maori myth
The maori myth of why it rains so much on the west coast.
Once upon a time there was a young man called Ari he was in love with a young woman who was called Aroha she was also in love with him. They both went for a romantic walk one day to the tops of the southern alps on the other side there was an enemy tribe/village that have been planning to fight the other side (Greymouth) and they were supposed to come today out of nowhere there was a rustle in the bush sling !!!!! Ari got hit in the leg with an arrow there was a dreadful scream Aroha had been taken by the tribe to this day Ari’s tears still shoot over greymouths skys cause it's too dangerous for him to go over the southern alps and save his one love.
